Clio Art Fair Spotlight: A review by Nieves Saah

Artist Nieves Saah in her studio

"Art has been my way of life for over 50 years. It dictates where I leave and what I do and see every day. Facing a blank canvas is the most exciting feeling for me. I immediately start to paint and draw on it. The colors evolve into images that come to me from very distant places. Sometimes they turn into premonitions and are always day dreaming interpretations of life."

-Nieves Saah

Nieves Saah exhibited her work in the past at the 20th and 21st editions of Clio Art Fair as a special guest, held from September 4–7 & September 18-21, 2025. Here is a short interview with the artist and a review of her experience at Clio Art Fair.

Nieves, can you please describe your art in four words?

Expressive, Figurative, Imaginative, Colorful.

What inspires your art?

Life memories, the news and processing my thoughts in a conversation with painting.

How would you describe your experience at Clio Art Fair?

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of friendship and excitement of meeting artists from all over the world. Getting interviewed and feature in Hyperallergic was a big prize. Thank you Clio.
