Artist Haneen Alkenany in her studio
“My art is a meditation on light, loss, and what remains within us after time, distance, and change. The eye, a recurring symbol in my work, stands as the witness, silent and enduring, observing not only what is seen but what is felt and remembered. Through oil and mixed media, I explore how presence survives absence, how memory becomes form, and emotion turns into color. My paintings trace the quiet transformation between what fades and what endures, reminding us that after time, distance, and change, the inner light that remains within us becomes the one we follow."

Haneen, can you please describe your art in four words?
Traces of Light, Half Absence
What inspires your art?
My greatest inspiration comes from the silent dialogue between loss and light, from the way time reshapes what we feel and turns memory into presence.
How would you describe your experience at Clio Art Fair?
My experience at Clio Art Fair was deeply rewarding. The organization was exceptional, and the team’s professionalism and cooperation created an atmosphere of genuine respect and creativity. The location attracted an engaged audience, allowing meaningful dialogue between artists and visitors. It was an inspiring and well-curated event that truly celebrated artistic connection.
