Clio Art Fair Spotlight: a Review by 4everguardedartist (Seleta Harvey)

Artist Seleta Harvey (4everguardedartist) with her artwork in her studio

“My work explores the relationship and the phrase “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and my angle is simply this “what if the beholder is blind and not just in a physical sense? Between what we have been taught versus what we discover. I came to the point of “how can I make my art standout and be embraced like a warm blanket?” With influences from Bob Ross, Georgia O’Keefe to Salvador Dali I have taken those various styles creating my own eclectic art form, and infused more utilization of our senses establishing a much deeper human experience. I have been fascinated by taking different materials and forms making it truly unique and enabling it to stand strongly on its own or as an entire collection. What started out as yearning soon became an obsession to push out what we regard as normal or “safe art” and has been molded lovingly into creating the chance of a new art form unlike anything ever seen.

As art has such an unwavering and prolific affect on so many people my art is for anyone ready to explore coloring outside the lines and adding a splash of curiosity and authenticity that speaks to the soul."

4everguardedartist has showcased her work in the past Clio Art Fair 18th edition in May 1-4, 2025. Here is our short interview with the artist and a review of her experience at Clio Art Fair!

Seleta, can you please describe your art in four words?

Color, Form, Spirit and Freedom.

What inspires your art?

Nature and my spirit

How would you describe your experience at Clio Art Fair?

As it was my first time showcasing at the Clio Art Fair, it was a very uplifting and inspiring experience. It was refreshing to be amongst artists that are beyond comfortable with their craft and sharing their process. Confidence in life and art is such a beautiful transformation that I can notably see in other artists and mingle with those in that same energy is truly inspiring. As creative beings it so important to surround yourself with those that "get it" not by words but with color, form and function. Being in the Clio Art Fair I felt a sense of community and seen in a higher degree and for that I am truly grateful.
